Why do people feel that they have to settle for less. Less for what they pay for, their jobs, expectations, family, friends. We find something we want and we go for it. Even if it sounds like a bad idea we still feel the need to test the water for ourselves. Waiting for the snake to bit us. It isn't until the venom is already running it's course in our bloodstream that we try and find the vaccine, until it's too late. It takes time to recover from such an illness but in the end, we still reach for that snake. You would think that after the first bite we would have learned but it takes until you come so close to death you realize that maybe it's not such a great idea. And sometimes you never get to that realization and thus ends your life.

But why must we go through all that pain just to get hurt again? If you don't like it then stop. Play with a snake that doesn't bite, one that you'll let slither all over you knowing you can trust them and they can trust you.

I know this is terrible comparrison to what I'm referring to. It makes sense to me at least. Maybe people don't see it that way or agree with my thinking and observations. The same quote that's been running in my head and basically describing how I feel.
